Here we go!

So I'm finally doing it. Journaling is not one of my habits, but I want it to be. I have too much performance anxiety to write things out longhand (is my lettering perfect, how can I edit, what is the best system for storage, etc. - crazy, I know), and my world is more electronic these days as a graphic designer, so a blog may work! I have a good memory for a lot of things, but a bad one for others. I take photos of my children to "document the occasion" all the time, but my thoughts and creations pass by day after day for more to take their place. As far back into childhood as I can remember I was told I was creative, so as a theme, I'll share my bits of creativity… and other people's creativity… and other stuff… I think! Well, we'll just see where things go. I must apologize for the lack of layout creativity at this point. I'll work on that.

This Sunday I will accompany some lovely young singers on the flute, along with a pianist and two violinists. The song, Come, All Who Thirst by Luigi Cherubini, is a paraphrase of Isaiah 55:1-3. I haven't played for a while, so I'm hoping my intonation will measure up. Beautiful music always inspires me to do my best though.

Sadly, this will be postponed to late June due to the death of our pianist's father yesterday. So sorry for your loss, Susanna.
